Muslims across Kingdom perform Eid prayer.

Muslims across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia performed Tuesday the prayer of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.

In Makkah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz along with his guests and groups of people performed the prayer of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr in Al-Haram Mosque.

Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Al-Hariri was among the King's guests. Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, was among the Eid prayer performers.

In Madinah, groups of people, headed by the Governor of Madinah Prince Meqrin bin Abdulaziz, prayed at the Prophet's Mosque. In Riyadh, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard performed the prayer along with groups of people at Prince Turki bin Abdullah's Mosque.

Tony Blair sends Eid greetings to Muslims in Britain

UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has extended his greetings to the Muslims in Britain on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

In his message Blair said, "I am delighted to send my very best wishes to the British Muslim community in your celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

I know that the Holy Month of Ramadan has been an important and special time for Muslims across the world. This period of daily fasting is a sacred duty for Muslims and a time for taking stock of your life and your faith. But it also contains a message for the whole country, whatever our faith or background, by reminding us of a shared obligation to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

The celebration of Eid also gives us an opportunity to reflect on the positive impact that Islam has had in Britain and the rest of the world. Islamic art, science and philosophy have enriched all our lives over centuries. And, of course, British Muslims have contributed hugely to this country's success, prosperity and culture. This is something we can all celebrate", he concluded.
